Here are some examples of how NAHC's Research Department regularly assists members:
- On behalf of its members, NAHC Research staff identified problems with CMS calculations of Medicare home health reimbursement rates, which led to increases in cost limits for home health agencies.
- After receiving a call from a reporter with a local newspaper, a member called to find out the number of persons employed in home care. NAHC referred to information in Basic Statistics About Home Care for up-to-date information from the Bureau of Labor Statistics on the home care labor force.
- Every year the NAHC Research staff updates Basic Statistics about Home Care and Hospice Facts and Statistics, annual benchmark surveys on the state of the industry.
