National Association for Home Care & Hospice to Host Its 26thAnnual Meeting
in Denver
Washington, DC – Calling
home care “the preferred form of health care for millions of Americans,” Val
J. Halamandaris, president of the National Association for Home Care & Hospice
(NAHC), invites all home care and hospice professionals to attend its
26 th Annual Meeting. The meeting will be held at the Colorado Convention
Center in Denver, Colorado, from October 6-10, 2007.
Every professional in the home care and hospice field, from the CEO to
the field nurse, from the IT director to the director of finance, will
benefit from receiving the latest state-of-the-art educational instruction.
NAHC’s Annual Meeting offers the most comprehensive, highest quality
programs for home care and hospice professionals to be found.
Several high-profile speakers will address the attendees including Gen.
Wesley K. Clark ( U.S. Army, ret.), 2004 presidential candidate; Sen.
Susan M. Collins (R-ME), Rep. Jim McGovern (D-MA); Howard
Behar, former president of Starbucks; Dr. Ben Leichtling,
president of Leichtling and Associates, a management consultant firm; Stuart
R. Levine, former CEO of Dale Carnegie & Associates, Inc.; Dr.
Ken Dychtwald, gerontologist and best-selling author; Dr.
Chip Bell, author, organizational consultant and Marcus
Buckingham, author, management researcher and consultant.
“Most Americans prefer to remain in their own homes, especially
by the time they become a little frail and need assistance to perform
such activities as getting out of bed, dressing, making meals, feeding
themselves and making sure they take their medications,” Halamandaris
said.
More than 500 exhibitors will be on hand to give booth presentations
and provide hands-on demonstrations. A technology showcase will highlight
the latest high-tech offerings for home care providers.
Additionally, the Caring Institute, a non-profit organization whose mission
is to promote the values of caring, integrity, and public service, will
hold a silent auction that is open to the public. Sports, celebrity and
political memorabilia, trips, outings, jewelry, one-of-a-kind items and
services will be up for bid in the convention center’s exposition
hall.
