This show is a light and sound show, coupled with the
fountain display. It takes place in front of the Bellagio
Hotel and is enjoyable for all ages. Fountain runs Monday
through Friday 3 p.m. to midnight and Saturday and Sunday
noon to midnight. The fountain displays every half hour
until 7 p.m. and every 15 minutes after that until midnight.
Fountains are occasionally closed during periods of high
winds.

hotel. This ride will launch you 160 feet straight up
in a mere 2.5 seconds with a speed of about 45 mph, which

up and down to return back to the launch pad. Beware

than a million visitors a year, Hoover Dam is located

Lake Mead is the 16th largest man-made lake in the
world and the largest man-made lake in the Western Hemisphere.
It was created by the Hoover Dam along the Colorado River.
It occupies about 1.5 million acres – twice as
much as Rhode Island – and about 820 miles of shoreline.
The National Park Service established Lake Mead as a
national recreation area in 1964. Lake Mead offers year-round
recreation, everything from boating to swimming to hiking
to wildlife viewing. Facilities include eight campgrounds,
five motels, seven RV campgrounds with hookups, five
marinas, boat and jet ski rentals, beaches, restaurants,
cafes, snack bars and a visitors center.

Grand is an understatement. Glorious, exalted, divinely
inspired — all are more apropos adjectives to describe
THE canyon. One glimpse of its majesty is all it takes
to understand why the Grand Canyon is considered one
of the natural wonders of the world. The canyon is a
staggering 277 miles long. At its deepest, it is about
a mile from the rim to the Colorado River far below and
it is as much as 18 miles wide in some spots. The park
encompasses 1,904 square miles and visibility on a good
day can reach up to 100 miles. The beauty and vibrant
colors of the rocks, the mighty river flowing through
the center and the wide variety of plant and animal life
that inhabit the canyon combine to make it a spot that
5 million people from around the world visit each year.
