Continuing Education for Nurses & Accountants
All education sessions are presented in group live format. Each 90 minute session will have 1.5 CEs for nurses and 1.0 CPE for accountants. Nurse attendees can earn a maximum of 11.0 nursing CE credits and accountants up to 8.0 CPE credits.
This provider directed education activity is provided by the National Association for Home Care & Hospice. The National Association for Home Care & Hospice is an approved provider (No. PN06-2-821-821) of continuing nursing education by the Maryland Nurses’ Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. NAHC is also approved by the California Board of Nursing, Provider number 10810. Many states have reciprocity agreements and will accept the contact hours for education programs.
NAHC is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE sponsors (Sponsor ID # 104616). In accordance with the standards of the National Registry of CPE Sponsors, CPE credits are based on a 50 minute hour. State boards of accountancy have final authority in awarding CPE credit. Field of Study (FOS) is indicated following the CPE information for all accounting accredited sessions. The CPE Fields of Study curriculum is divided into 23 subject matter areas. They are: Accounting, Accounting (Governmental), Auditing, Auditing (Governmental), Administrative Practice, Social Environment of Business, Regulatory Ethics, Business Law, Business Management and Organization, Finance, Management Advisory Services, Marketing, Behavioral Ethics, Communications, Personal Development, Personnel/HR, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Production, Specialized Knowledge and Applications, Statistics and Taxes. These fields represent the primary knowledge and skill areas needed by accounting licensees to perform professional services in all fields of employment.
Prerequisite or advance preparation is not required for education sessions at the 2007 NAHC National Home Care & Hospice Policy Conference and Law Symposium.

To be eligible for continuing education credit, you must attend the entire session in order to have that session included on your CE document. If you exit the session prior to its conclusion, you will not be eligible for CE credits.
CE "Easy Swipe"
Your registration materials will include a magnetic card (similar to a credit card) that you will simply swipe as you enter your desired sessions to obtain CE credits.
Please keep in mind the following CE policies, which have not changed:
- Cards must be swiped before going into a session.
- Accountants must swipe and sign your name on the sign-in sheet at each session to received proper credit.
- To be eligible for CEs, you must attend the entire session and submit an evaluation in order to have the session appear on your certificate.
- If you arrive for the session more than 15 minutes after the scheduled start time, you will not be eligible for CE credits for that session.
- If you leave early, you will not be credited for the session.
- There will be a $15 fee for replacement certificates.
