Language Line Services—A New NAHC Member Benefit



Every day, more and more home care and hospice providers are coming face to face with the challenge of language barriers, and the need for a bridge of understanding.

This is why the National Association for Home Care (NAHC) has negotiated a special agreement with Language Line Services to help home care providers communicate clearly with virtually any patient, anytime, anywhere, at a generous discount.

Language Line Services provides over-the-phone interpretation and document translation in more than 140 languages, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. And to insure compliance with federal mandates, Language Line offers certified medical interpreters.

Language Line has certified medical interpreters for the following languages: Arabic, Cambodian, Cantonese, French, German, Haitian Creole, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Vietnamese, Somali, Farsi, Tagalog, H'mong, Serbian, Bosnian, and Croatian. These languages represent the most highly requested languages in the healthcare industry and over 95 percent of customer demand.

Language Line Services continues to lead the industry in over-the-phone interpretation and offers certifications in the legal and healthcare industries.
NAHC members do not have to pay the one-time only start up fee and the minimum monthly usage fee of $50. Usage is billed in one-minute increments and price is based on the language requested and the time of day.
