Program Description
We are a pediatric homecare program that has been in operation for 5-6 years, as part of a larger organization, Angela Hospice. We have a specialized pediatric team, consisting of 3-4 nurses, and a pediatric social worker. We see both homecare and hospice patients in their homes, the hospital, or in our inpatient care center. We provide 24 hour on call availability, two year follow up in bereavement, and two memorial services a year. We have spcially trained volunteers who augment our care by preparing meals, offering respite for parents by staying with the ill child so the parents may go out with the other children. We have been featured in the Home Health Aide Digest in 2000, and are in the current issue of Caring magazine in February 2001. We are strong patient advocates, and have formed strong, trusting relationships with our referring physicians and insurance case managers as well. Please contact us with any questions or comments.
