NAHC’s affiliate organization, the Home Care Technology Association of America (HCTAA), has become a Partner organization for National Health IT Week. National Health IT Week – held this year September 15-19 - is an independent, virtual awareness week marked by individual Partner-driven events.
There are many resources available for organizations to participate in National Health IT Week and raise awareness on the importance of using health IT in the home setting. A toolkit is available here for ideas and inspiration on how organizations and individuals can show your support for National Health IT Week 2014
Some of the most popular toolkit ideas from past National Health IT Weeks include:
Develop a NHIT Week social media strategy. To help get the word out about NHIT Week, use your existing social media outlets, or establish new ones. Post a blog, tweet about #NHITweek, and highlight NHIT Week on your existing Facebook account, website, and other digital media outlets.
Incorporate NHIT Week into an upcoming activity. If your organization has an upcoming announcement or event, plan to hold it during the week of September 15-19, 2014. That way you can recognize NHIT Week as part of your activity.
Send the details to firstname.lastname@example.org and we would be happy to list your event on the Activities and Agenda page!
Promote NHIT Week in your existing communications. Add the NHIT Week logo to your email signatures and your organization’s internal calendars. These are simple ways that pack a big impact to let your network and colleagues know that your organization is celebrating NHIT Week and the benefits that health IT brings to patients and providers.
