NAHC and HAA Remind Hospices to Access their Hospice PEPPER?

The current release (version Q4FY13) of the Program for Evaluating Payment Patterns Electronic Report (PEPPER) for hospices has been available for download through the Secure PEPPER Access pageat PEPPERresources.org. since April 21, 2014. As of November 11, 1,698 (56%) of the 3,030 hospice PEPPERs had been accessed.
Have you obtained your hospice’s PEPPER? If you haven’t, the Chief Executive Officer, President or Administrator should:
Review the Secure PEPPER Access Guide.
Visit the Secure PEPPER Access pageat PEPPERresources.org.
Review the instructions and obtain the information required to authenticate access.
Click on the button to Access the Secure Portal.
Complete all the fields.
Download your PEPPER as a Microsoft Excel file.
PEPPER is an educational tool that summarizes provider-specific data statistics for Medicare services that may be at risk for improper payments. Providers can use the data to support internal auditing and monitoring activities.
Visit PEPPERresources.orgto access resources for using PEPPER, including user’s guides, recorded web-based training sessions and sample PEPPERs. PEPPER is distributed by TMF® Health Quality Institute under contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
