A Reminder about CMS’ Upcoming Migration from IACS to EIDM
January 30, 2015 01:15 PM
NAHC wants to remind its members that CMS is migrating the P S & R application from IACS to EIDM, effective February 9.
During a transition period, running from January 30 – February 8, users will not be able to create new IACS accounts, and any changes to existing IACS accounts will not be carried over to the new system. It is anticipated that P S & Rs may be inaccessible for some time during the transition period but that time frame is not known as yet.
Given this change, it is strongly recommended that existing users log on to their IACS accounts and change their passwords prior to close of business on Friday, January 30 to ensure that they are current, that they haven’t expired, that they won’t expire during the transition period, and are known to the appropriate users. This will eliminate the need to secure additional assistance with a password change once the transition to EIDM is complete.
The 'Change Password' option can be found here.
A link to the CMS IACS OVERVIEW page is available here.
A SPECIAL NOTE TO HOSPICE PROVIDERS: Hospices are required to calculate their 2014 aggregate cap NO SOONER THAN January 31 and submit the calculation, along with any overpayment, by March 31. NAHC and it's affiliate, the Hospice Association of America, are still awaiting release from CMS of the spreadsheet and instructions related to self-calculation of the cap and will alert you as soon as we have word on this front – but cap calculation will require that you access reports in the P S & R. MAKE SURE YOUR ACCOUNT IS CURRENT NOW so that you will have continuing access!
