A Reminder to Participate in CMS’ Voluntary Health IT Survey
February 27, 2015 02:43 PM
CMS is asking Long-term and Post-Acute Providers to participate in a voluntary survey to gather information so that the organization may better understand the role technology is playing in the delivery of health care services in these settings.
Earlier this month, CMS sent a notice to its listservs asking Long-term and Post-Acute Providers to participate in the voluntary Heath IT survey, and NAHC encouraged its members to do so. The insight and value that NAHC members can add to the survey will help CMS better understand the challenges and opportunities that the home health and hospice provider community face with respect to health IT implementation.
This survey will additionally help CMS identify the benefits and challenges long-term and post-acute providers encounter when participating in CMS programs that promote health care interoperability.
Recently, NAHC’s affiliate, the Home Care Technology Association of America (HCTAA), helped to develop formal comments for the Long Term and Post Acute Care Health IT Collaborative in response to the Federal Government’s Health IT strategy for 2015 – 2020. HCTAA is a member of the organization, and served to make sure that the home care and hospice community’s voice was reflected in the comments that were ultimately submitted to the Department of Health and Human Services.
The survey will only remain open until March 3, 2015. To participate in the survey, please click here.
