New Hospice PEPPER Now Available

TMF® Health Quality Institute (TMF), under contract with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), has released thenew Hospice PEPPER (version Q4FY14) summarizing statistics for fiscal years 2012, 2013 and 2014. It is now available through the PEPPER Resources Portaland includes four new target areas, added in response to the recently-released Office of Inspector General (OIG) report identifying concerns with hospice services provided to beneficiaries residing in an assisted living facility (ALF).
The new PEPPER summarizes statistics for these six target areas:
Long length of Stay
Continuous home care in assisted living facility
Routine home care in assisted living facility
Routine home care in nursing facility
Routine home care in skilled nursing facility
According to TMF, as of June 5 57% have not yet retrieved the Hospice PEPPER:
