In a video released today on the NAHC Home Page, Former Senator Mark Begich, Vice President for Policy and Development at the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC), encouraged the public to vote for NAHC President Val J. Halamandaris for Modern Healthcare’s 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare.
In May, Modern Healthcare selected Halamandaris as one of 300 finalists for its 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare issue. Each year, the list honors individuals who are deemed by their peers and the senior editors of Modern Healthcare to have made the greatest impact on health care.
Voting is open to the public until June 26th. Please note you must cast votes for a total of five nominees in order for your vote to count. You can vote by clicking here.
Begich made the case that voting for Halamandaris is an important way to benefit the standing of home care and hospice nationwide.
“No one is more deserving of this recognition than Val,” said Begich. “But the important thing is to make sure the home care and hospice community has representation in the top 100. In Washington, perception is reality. By casting enough votes to put Val in the top 100, we can send a clear message to Washington—home is the center of health care.”
Begich also said that NAHC members can help the effort by encouraging their friends and family members to join in voting for Halamandaris.
Please remember to vote by June 26.
