The National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC) has announced several new member benefits in order to further enhance the value of your NAHC membership. Following are NAHC’s recently announced new member benefits:
The Home Care and Hospice TV Network—The TV Network will provide news, information, education, advocacy, inspiration, as well as personal and business development advice at lightening speed to busy people. It addresses the special interests of the 78 baby boomers who are quickly coming into their retirement years, as well as the 51 million Americans who are already of this age. It augments what is available on the NAHC Website—www.nahc.org. The informal call letters of the TV Network are “SWW” which stands for Something Worth Watching.
New Accreditation Program—Under the umbrella of Home Care University and the leadership of Senator Mark Begich, this new accreditation program for private duty home care will offer two programs, ranging from general to more intensive, and measure running a good home care organization.
Home Care Cooperative—A cooperative alliance can bring together independent home care providers across the country to ensure that trusted, locally owned providers succeed and thrive in a competitive marketplace. The establishment of a cooperative of small home care companies banding together can leverage purchasing power to reduce costs and allow them to be more competitive.
President’s Club—A new society of highly ethical and innovative caregivers and providers. The President’s Club will meet for management conferences hosted by NAHC and collaborate in serving as an intellectual entity on behalf of home care and hospice, in addition to supporting legislative, fundraising, and other efforts.
Infection Prevention Affiliate—The Infection Prevention Practice Group will bring together individual nurses with a specialization in infectious diseases. We face an unprecedented number of infection control issues, some of which are as potent and virulent as Ebola. While NAHC has created individual task forces in the past, this new affiliate will provide a full-scale, consistent focus on these issues, from influenza to avian flu, as they become increasingly important.
Stay tuned to NAHC Report for more details regarding these new benefits.
