The National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC), as a member of the Leadership Council of Aging Organizations (LCAO), is cosponsoring a U.S. presidential candidate forum, Seniors Decide 2016. It will take place at 1 p.m. EST on Wednesday, February 17th, 2016, at George Mason University, in Arlington, Virginia.
LCAO is a 72-member coalition of the nation’s non-profit organizations serving older Americans, including NAHC. It is dedicated to preserving and strengthening the well-being of America’s older population, and provides a voice for seniors and their families in the ongoing debate on aging policy.
Seniors Decide 2016is the only presidential candidate forum dedicated to issues affecting older Americans. “The Leadership Council of Aging Organizations has enjoyed strong working relationships with U.S. Presidents of both parties,” said LCAO Chair Max Richtman. “We developed Seniors Decide 2016 as a forum to begin a dialogue with the country’s next President about policies and programs that serve the needs of a diverse and growing population of older Americans.”
Tools and information are available on the Seniors Decide 2016 website, which you can access here. The forum will stream live on the Seniors Decide 2016 website at 1:00 p.m. EST on Wednesday, February 17th, 2016.
Among the resources on the website is information about how to submit your questions to the candidates. In addition to submitting questions in writing, you are able to submit your questions on video through the website.
NAHC encourages its members to submit questions to the candidates on the most important issues affecting home care and hospice. For ideas about such questions, please see the September 3, 2015, edition of NAHC Report available here.
You can watch from your home or office, or plan a watch party with others using the resources that are available here on the Seniors Decide 2016 website.
