Gail Gronlund, one of NAHC’s most knowledgeable veterans in the membership department, talks to members every day about how they can get more out of their membership experience. Recently, your NAHC Report correspondent asked Gail what are the most frequently asked questions our members have. And, of course, we also wanted the answers because we know you want the answers, too.
So, Gail – what are the most frequently asked questions members have for you?
Question 1: I can’t remember my password to get on to the members-only sections. Can you re-set?
Answer: Yes we can reset the password for you. Your user ID is your email address and your password is password1. You will then you are prompted to create your own.
Question 2: How can I see who is receiving member benefits from my agency?
Answer: Go to the member profile area of the NAHC website and it will tell you the answer.
Question 3: Is NAHC affiliated with the state association. Does NAHC staff give advice on state regulations and laws?
Answer: State associations are members of NAHC, and yes, we give advice on state-related questions.
Question 4: For insurance reasons members want to know if we can tell them when they joined NAHC, and they want proof of membership, and they want to know how much they have been paying for membership?
Answer: We can give members the date they joined, send a letter saying they are members and tell them how much they’ve been paying for membership.
Question 5: What percentage of dues goes to advocacy?
Answer: Fifteen percent of dues go to advocacy.
Question 6: May we pay membership dues in installments?
Answer: Yes, you may.
Question 7: Does NAHC prorate membership dues?
Answer: Yes, we do prorate halfway through the year.
Question 8: How do I register for a meeting as an attendee or exhibitor?
Answer: Go to the NAHC.org website and look under Meetings and Education, where our vendor Experian will handle the registration process.
Question 9: Are there special rates for meetings attendees?
Answer: Yes, you can group rates for attendees from an agency and you can also take advantage of the Early Bird special rates on our meetings. In addition, after your eighth registration, the ninth is free. Visit https://registration.experientevent.com/shownhh171/ for rates.
Question 10: From nonmembers, what are NAHC’s member benefits, and how much is it to join?
Answer: Visit our website at: http://www.nahc.org/about/provider-membership-benefits/. Dues are based on your patient revenue

This may sound corny, but the favorite part of my job is talking to the members. They are a great group of people. I have worked for different nonprofit associations in the D.C. area and NAHC members are exceptional!
