Certified Home Care & Hospice Executive Program

The NAHC Certified Home Care & Hospice Executive Program (CHCE) is not available at this time.  We hope to continue the program in the future. California Association for Health Services at Home (CAHSAH) offers several Home Care Executive programs. The following link www.cahsah.org will provide access to their programs. Certified Home Care & Hospice Recertification

  • It is no longer necessary to submit supporting documents with your recertification application. The application and log of activities must be completed and submitted with the recertification fee.  The recertification application is being revised to reflect the change. In the meantime the current application can be used.
  • Please note that it is the responsibility of each certified home care/hospice executive to maintain a file of supporting documents such as CE certificates, board or committee letters of appointment, etc. for audit purposes. Random audits will be conducted annually on recertification applications.
  • Recertification applications are now due thirty (30) days before the date of the certification expiration.  Applications were formally due sixty (60) days before the date of the certification expiration.

 

Home Care Aide Certification Program

The NAHC Home Care Aide Certification Program was discontinued as of December 31, 2012. Please contact your state home care association or a local training program to inquire about alternative programs. We have provided the links below to training sites and education resources to assist you in your search for an rewarding career in healthcare.

 

Accreditation Program

NAHC Accreditation Program is not being offered at this time.  We hope to continue the program in the future.

Reaccreditation Requirements

  • Completion of a self-study by the applying organization of its home care aide service in accordance with procedures established by the accreditation program
  • Completion of questionnaires about home care aide service prepared and submitted by related community agencies and consumers of the service
  • A mandatory site visit in which information in the self-study is clarified, verified, and amplified
  • After the site visit a report is prepared and submitted by the reviewer(s) to the Accreditation Commission.  The final reaccreditation status determination is made by the Accreditation Commission.
