Dear Colleague:
Thank you for attending the 26th Annual Meeting of the
National Association for Home Care & Hospice which took
place in Denver, Colorado.
I have had the opportunity to review many of the evaluation
forms that were completed on site. Thanks for taking the
time to help us learn how to better serve you. Please know
that it is my habit to read each of these evaluation forms
personally. I must say they are very satisfying. However,
we do not intend to sit on our laurels. We will undertake
a comprehensive review of our performance. We want to hear
from you what you thought we did well and what you think
could be improved.
One of the innovations that we have implemented by way of
serving you better is our new system which allows you to
print your
CE (continuing education) certificates by accessing
our website.
I encourage you to make plans to attend the NAHC
2008 Annual Meeting on October 11 to 15 in Ft Lauderdale,
Florida. I
am sure you have seen the advance program which was a special
insert in the October issue of Caring. It was distributed
at the Denver meeting and is being mailed to you at home.
This program is also on our website. On this same website
you will find electronic procedures (our Call
for Presentations)
to volunteer to be a presenter at the Florida meeting. The
Call for Presentations is also found on our website. You
have until November 30, 2007, to submit your proposal for
consideration by the NAHC Annual Meeting Committee.
While I am at it, I want to invite your participation also
in the NAHC Private Duty Summit in Scottsdale, Arizona January
27-29, 2008; the Annual NAHC
Home Care & Hospice March
on Washington & Legal Symposium in Washington, DC
April 6-9, 2008 and the Financial Managers Conference in
Las Vegas, Nevada July 16-18, 2008.
Thanks again for attending our annual meeting in Denver.
We appreciate the opportunity to share time and to learn
with you how we, together, can better serve the millions
of aged, infirm, disabled and dying Americans who look to
us to provide them with needed care and assistance.
Sincerely,
Val J. Halamandaris
President
