11th Annual CEO Leadership School
Management Tips from Mother Teresa
SUNDAY, October 2, 2011
8:30 am to 1 pm
Mandalay Bay AB
Mother Teresa built one of the world’s largest organizations. She started
the Missionaries of Charity in 1948 with 13 sisters and a sense of vision. Today
her order has operations in 123 countries, over one million team members, and one
of the world’s most recognized brands. It has raised and deployed billions
of dollars, a kind of return on investment that most companies can only dream of
achieving.
How did a nun with no formal business training create such a powerful fundraising
machine? The answer is that Mother Teresa had all the qualities of a great manager:
grit, determination, and the ability to get the odds to work in her favor. Like
all great managers, she knew how to multitask and she was able to get others to
adopt her vision. Some of them are here with us to share their memories of Mother
Teresa. They’ll tell you what made her a great management guru who worked
for the common good. CEO Leadership School welcomes the leaders of today and tomorrow.
* Separate registration required – continental breakfast and luncheon
included in registration costs.
