NAHC applauds Eli Lilly on health literacy recognition

Washington , D.C. (September 13, 2012) – On behalf of the twelve million people that receive home care services annually in the US, NAHC would like to commend and recognize pharmaceutical manufacturer Eli Lilly on the national recognition it received for its health literacy efforts. Health illiteracy is a problem many Americans face, especially the elderly. According to the Journal of the American Medical Association, two thirds of people over 60 have inadequate health literacy.
