Home Care & Hospice Hall of Fame recipients and Nurse of the Year announced

Washington, D.C.(October 9, 2012) – Every year, the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC) has the pleasure of honoring those who have dedicated their life to the care and service of others. The Home Care & Hospice Hall of Fame was started in 2011 and the inductees are honored at the Association’s largest meeting of the year. This is the inaugural year for the Nurse of the Year award, which was determined through a national voting process with each state nominated one finalist.

Statement by Val J. Halamandaris, President National Association for Home Care & Hospice

Washington, D.C. (October 5, 2012) – On behalf of the members of the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC), I want to congratulate the Medicare Fraud Strike Task Force and law enforcement agencies for taking forthright action to stem what appears to be a coordinated scheme to divert federal money intended for care of the aged and infirm. We believe that all Americans are entitled to the presumption of innocence, and we do not want to prejudge this case without having all the facts.​
