An Update on the Home Health Rebasing Dear Colleague Letter

NAHC Report recently announced that several Members of Congress circulated a Dear Colleague letter in the House and Senator Debbie Stabinow (D-MI) circulated a similar letter to her Democratic Senate colleagues regarding the proposed rebasing rule that would severely cut home care payments under Medicare.​

CMS Issues Medicaid Hospice Rates for FY2014

In an August 30, 2013 Memorandum to Associate Regional Administrators in the Division of Medicaid, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued payment rates that will govern reimbursement for Medicaid hospice services during Fiscal Year (FY) 2014.

CMS Study Evaluates Utilization among Dual Eligibles

In August, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS) released a study titled Effect of Long-term Care Use on Medicare and Medicaid Expenditures for dual Eligible and Non-dual Eligible Elderly Beneficiaries. Among other things, the study evaluated differences in case mix and expenditures of dual and non-dual beneficiaries in the community setting receiving Medicaid long-term care (LTC) and medical services, and compared institutional and community expenditures for LTC.
