Keynote Speakers for March on Washington | Private Duty Conference Announced

With the 2013 March on Washington | Private Duty Integrated Conference set to start next week, NAHC is proud to announce two keynote speakers to what is already an impressive lineup during general and educational sessions. Karyn Buxman will address attendees on March 18 during the afternoon general session and Barbara Kennelly will be the keynote speaker during the March 20 lunch session. Both women are captivating and compelling speakers who will both motivate and inspire members of the homecare and hospice community.

NAHC encourages all of its members to register to join their colleagues during the March on Washington | Private Duty Conference to hear these two inspiring speakers and to make their own voice heard on behalf of the home care and hospice community.

CMS Offering National Provider Call on March 20

CMS has re-released the MLM article that announces the full implementation of the edits on ordering and referring physicians, effective May,1 2013. CMS erroneously released the MLM article on Tuesday, February 26 and then rescinded it – stating the article would be “posted when ready.”

CMS is offering a National Provider Call on March 20 from 3-4:30ET. Registration information will be available soon on CMS Upcoming National Provider Calls.

Social Media at the March on Washington | Private Duty Home Care Integrated Conference & Exposition

In just one week, NAHC will kick off its most anticipated conference of the year, the 2013 March on Washington | Private Duty Home Care Integrated Conference & Exposition in Washington, DC. Join us Sunday, March 17 – Wednesday, March 20, 2013 to hear insightful presentations from our speakers and learn from valuable educational session topics on private duty, Medicare, Medicaid and the ACA.

If you don’t yet follow NAHC on social media, like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter.

Seeking strong leader to head well-established not-for-profit home care agency with staff of 400 home health aides, nurses, social workers and support staff in northern NJ. Must be strong advocate for community-based care, with knowledgeable of managed care and the Affordable Care Act. Responsibilities include: the management and operations of the office, including budgeting, fiscal management, operations, recruitment, marketing and business development. Requirements include: a minimum of a BA with MS in Public Administration, Health Administration or Business Administration preferred; a minimum of 10 years of supervisory or management experience in the healthcare industry, with home care management experience strongly preferred; a record of goal achievement; strong interpersonal, recruiting and employee relations skills; the ability to organize, manage, market and grow an office; effective communication skills; and the vision to manage and grow the agency during changing and challenging times.
