NAHC Urges its Members to Contact their Representatives During the Thanksgiving Day Holiday
Building off the success of its first Social Media Advocacy Day, NAHC encourages members to ask their elected officials to support the Home Health Care Planning Improvement Act

Last Wednesday, NAHC held its first Social Media Advocacy Day in partnership with Phone2Action. Thank you to all of the NAHC members who participated, and made the first Social Media Advocacy Day a success. Last Wednesday, NAHC members asked Congress to support the Home Health Care Planning Improvement Act via social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter.

Since the Social Media Advocacy Day, seven new Congressional co-sponsors have joined the bill - Senator Markey (D-MA), and Representatives Hastings (R-FL), Smith (D-WA), Kelly (D-IL), Hultgren (R-IL), Pompeo (R-KS), and Pocan (D-WI).

NAHC wants to continue these successful grassroots efforts over the Thanksgiving holiday and is asking its members to ask their elected officials for their support.

NAHC invites all of its members to take action today and ask Members of Congress to support the Home Health Care Planning Improvement Act during their Thanksgiving Holiday recess.  NAHC needs Senators and Representatives to act now before the end of the 113th Congress.

On average, beneficiaries with traditional Medicare will end up spending more than $4,000 per year on out-of-pocket health costs, according to the study’s authors. That constitutes a level of cost-sharing much higher than that seen in comparable nations.
