Hospice Item Set Manual V1.02 Released
REMINDER: National Provider Call June 17, 2015

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has posted the revised Hospice Item Set (HIS) Manual, V1.012 online in the ‘Downloads’ portion of the HIS webpage.  There is a change table outlining the changes from V1.01 to V1.02 that accompanies the revised Manual.  The revisions provide clarifications of HIS item definitions and expectations for use.  Providers should download and review V1.02 for the most up-to-date guidance on HIS item completion.

To review updates made to V1.02 of the HIS Manual, CMS will host an HIS-focused National Provider Call on June 17, 2015.  This presentation will cover updates that were made to the HIS Manual from V1.01 to V1.02.  NAHC has reviewed the changes and finds that there are no major changes to processes or procedures.  As previously stated, the changes are clarifications and updates to match the most recent CMS guidance.

Providers may now register for the MLN Connects National Provider Call scheduled for June 17, 2015 from 1:30 – 3:00 PM ET online at on the MLN National Provider Calls and Events webpage.
