Sen. Amy Klobuchar: Home Care and Hospice Professionals are “Superheroes”

United States Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) spoke at the National Association for Home Care & Hospice’s (NAHC) 2016 March on Washington Senate Breakfast. Sen. Klobuchar, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, also attended last year’s Senate Breakfast.

Introducing Sen. Klobuchar was former U.S. Senator Mark Begich, Vice President for Policy and Development at NAHC. Begich called Sen. Klobuchar, “a true hero for home care and hospice,” citing her cosponsorship of the Care Planning Act and the Home Health Care Planning Improvement Act, as well as her support for the home care and hospice community in opposing benefit cuts. “Ever year Sen. Klobuchar steps up to the plate and helps us in every regard,” Begich said. “She is tenacious, she fights hard for what she believes in, and she works across party lines.”

Look in to Hospice Developments at FMC 2016

You know that FMC always brings together the best and brightest financial minds in the home care and hospice industry.  Join us this year in Las Vegas at the Red Rock Casino & Spa for legal and regulatory updates in home health financial operations.

In January 2016, Medicare implemented a new hospice payment system for routine home care (RHC) comprised of only two daily base rates.  These rates are designed to more accurately reimburse providers for costs incurred during the patient’s time in hospice, but the complexity of the payment system comes with a substantial amount of financial unpredictability.  If you attend FMC 2016, you’ll gain the knowledge to be covered when it comes to navigating these tricky revenue situations.

In addition to the variety of education tailored to home health financial managers, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with over 200 vendors in the FMC expo.  We select exhibitors who can streamline home health agency operations to make sure you have the best tools at your disposal.

Learn more about FMC 2016!  See the conference program and schedule here.
