State Health Licensing Department - Phone Numbers
This list contains the phone numbers of licensing departments for health care professionals in all fifty States. These departments are responsible for regulating health professions and establishing health care provider licensing requirements for the State. These departments will be the contact point for providers needing information related to health professionals and health licensing requirements.

State Boards of Nursing Contact Information
This list provides contact information specifically for licensing requirements for Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs).

Each State’s Board of Nursing is responsible for regulating the licensing of nurses to ensure a standard of quality care. The Board of Nursing is usually part of the State health licensing department. Providers needing information regarding the practice of nursing in a State will have to contact the State Board of Nursing.

Common Infectious and Communicable Disease
The list of Common Infectious and Communicable Diseases is a list of common diseases expected in disaster situations. Also included, are modes of transmission, treatments, and recommended infection control precautions.
