CMS Instructs Hospices on Resubmission of RHC Claims

Since January 2016 and implementation of the two-tiered payment system for routine home care (RHC), as well as the service-intensity add-on (SIA) for RN and Social Work visits in the final days of life, there have been multiple claims processing issues that have emerged. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has instituted multiple “fixes” to address claims processing issues, but the system modifications to address incorrect payments have uncovered additional problems. read more
