Senator Orrin Hatch (R-UT), the chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, wrote a letter Friday, September 22, to Seema Verma, the Administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), urging her to not finalize the proposed Home Health Groupings Model (HHGM) in its Calendar Year (CY) 2018 Medicare Home Health Prospective Payment System until the agency can fully validate the impact the changes will have on Medicare spending. read more
