WASHINGTON D.C. (May 16, 2013) Val J. Halamandaris, president of the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC) released the following statement about the confirmation of Marilyn Tavenner to the post of Administrator of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
The National Association for Home Care & Hospice is pleased that Marilyn Tavenner has been confirmed as Administrator of CMS. Ms. Tavenner brought her wealth of health care experience as a nurse, health care executive and government official at the state level to the position.
During this critical time in our nations history as Congress debates the health care system including the Medicare and Medicaid programs, we look forward to Ms. Tavenners continued leadership at CMS.
