COVID-19: Infection Prevention and Control Strategies
Friday, March 27, 2020; 1:00-2:30 pm Eastern
Description
The rapid spread of the novel coronavirus COVID-19 is a public health crisis without precedent in recent American history. Americans are being exposed to an enormous amount of information about COVID-19, much of it false, confusing, or simply not useful. In an attempt to cut through the noise and present you with real facts and how they impact your agency, your staff, and your patients, the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC) has partnered with Mary McGoldrick, a leading home care and hospice consultant, to discuss ways you and your staff can continue to operate safely during the COVID-19 crisis.
Objectives
At the conclusion of this webinar, the participant will be able to:
- Describe infection prevention and control strategies to prevent the transmission of SARS-CoV-2 in the home.
- Recognize common infection prevention and control breaches during care to patients in the home.
- More effectively prepare for caring for a patient suspected or confirmed of having COVID-19 in the home.
