The FY2021 Proposed Hospice Payment Rule and Update on Hospice COVID-19 Flexibilities
Thursday, April 12, 2020, 2:00-3:30 pm Eastern
On Friday, April 10, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released the proposed FY2021 Hospice Wage Index and Payment Rate Update. In addition to information regarding the payment update (estimated at 2.6 percent) and related issues, CMS included in the rule guidance on the forthcoming requirement that hospices modify their patient election statements and offer an addendum to patients and others outlining conditions, treatments, and medications that the patient receives that will not be covered by the hospice by virtue of them being unrelated to the hospice terminal prognosis. Hospices have only a few months to gear up for this significant new requirement.
This webinar will provide insights into the contents of the payment rule — including the election statement and addendum requirements — as well as provide information regarding recent flexibilities granted by CMS for hospices during the ongoing pandemic.
You will receive a recording of the webinar if you register even if you cannot attend the webinar in real time.
