NAHC, in conjunction with Kornetti and Krafft, present an important five-part webinar series on an area of great need in home care: Maintenance Therapy.

Even before the case of Jimmo v Sebelius ruling, the issue of maintenance therapy was a component of the Medicare Part A Home Health Benefit. Still, home health agencies and their therapy staff have limited or no experience in addressing the issue of maintenance therapy.

Kornetti & Krafft Health Care Solutions frequently receive questions and concerns about maintenance therapy in the home health setting, particularly on issues like:

  • proper beneficiary identification;
  • supportive documentation;
  • therapy utilization; and
  • billing procedures.

This content is designed for 3 target audiences:

Leadership: There are many questions and concerns in the industry about the provision of maintenance therapy – which patients qualify, what would a care plan look like, what should the documentation contain and how is it paid for – to name a few. Our 90-minute session entitled: Leadership Orientation to Maintenance Therapy provides agency decision makers with the foundation upon which to build a successful and defensible maintenance program.

Clinicians: Maintenance Therapy: Effective Operationalizing of the Regulations

The content is divided as follows and each seminar is 90 minutes in length:

  • Part 1: Regulations and Definitions
  • Part 2: Assessments and Care Planning
  • Part 3: Reassessments and Follow Up Visits

Reviewer: There are many questions and concerns in the industry about the provision of maintenance therapy – which patients qualify, what would a care plan look like, what should the documentation contain and how is it paid for – to name just a few. This 90-minute session is focused on ensuring documentation defensibility of maintenance therapy.

This webinar series will provide the learners with clear and concise information about the do’s & don’ts of home health maintenance therapy. Presentations will include guidelines for therapy documentation, utilization, proper billing codes, and patient scenarios.
