NAHC Accepting Nominations for New Diversity and Inclusion Task Force
Support the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC) in our mission to embrace diversity and promote a culture of inclusion for the home care and hospice community.
- Nominations Deadline: Friday, September 18, 2020
- Apply today!
In response to our nation’s growing concern about racism and injustice, the Board of Directors of the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC) issued a statement about our organization’s plan to engage the home care and hospice community in a rigorous self-examination and to provide the tools needed to assist in making the community a model for diversity, inclusion, justice, and equality in opportunities. We urge you to read the statement here. We need your help to build that community.
NAHC is committed to diversity and inclusion within our organization, in our governance structure, and our membership. We know it is of the utmost importance that we take a stand now to do our part as the leading organization in the industry, which is why we have decided to launch the NAHC Diversity & Inclusion Task Force.
The Diversity & Inclusion Task Force will consist of dedicated NAHC members who have chosen to be champions for diversity, equity, and inclusion, and will provide guidance and insights to assist NAHC in establishing and implementing these strategic objectives and tracking their ongoing efficacy. While doing so, these champions will remain highly visible and promote increased diversity, equity, and inclusion in the membership and leadership.
The Diversity & Inclusion Task Force will:
Conduct a thorough self-examination upon which any remedial action will be based;
- Design and enact a Diversity and Inclusion Policy that will guide NAHC operations and governance;
- Implement a comprehensive home care and hospice community education plan to provide the tools and support to assist the home care and hospice community to fully secure and maintain diversity and inclusion; and
- Determine additional on-going projects and initiatives.
It is essential that the members of this Task Force represent the diversity we are seeking in the home care and hospice community. We highly encourage people who represent different races, nationalities, religions, sexual orientations, and disabilities to apply to serve on the Task Force. Apply now!
We need your help to ensure the home care and hospice community is welcoming to all people of goodwill. If you’re a leader who is committed to embracing diversity and promoting a culture of inclusion for all home care and hospice owners, administrators, leaders, and staff, we need you on our Task Force.
